The 1 Second Film was placed on a list at IMDb in 2005, with the help of Stephen Colbert, and this video of Stephen to request a list of IMDb.
"IMDb should put these credits. It is as valid as most of my credits," - Stephen Colbert
IMDb Reqest initially only to cover our credit as a producer of celebrity, however, IMDb started to put anyone on a list of our producers, including new filmmakers.
Once placed in a list on IMDb, people around the world to browse our celebrity producers began to stumble through the 1 Second Film. People soon found that they too can be producers, and thousands became members of our team. Our film started to grow virally. Finally, over 3 000 of our 7 000 producers were once placed on a list on IMDb (see IMDb putting on a list screenshot).
Then ingresábamos names by hand, and avoid a press release to try and manage the growth of the project. We began to save money to build an automated Web site, and preparing the proposed increase.
Before we could complete the automated Web site, IMDb took away all our claims, and finally our title. This disorder many producers had learned on the project by IMDb. Many of our producers had also paid money to IMDb include a photo in their profiles IMDb.
* Note that never guarantee anyone a credit IMDb exchange for a donation to our project.
IMDb Why removed the 1 Second Film, movie downloads for ipod.
Some have suggested that the length of our credits were the issue, however, IMDb has assured us that their database is scalable and the length of our credit was not an issue. We also offered to provide a spreadsheet of our producers so that the process could be automated.
By chance, found John Reeves of IMDB, we reported that IMDb talked to do with our project.
IMDb wanted to see a little publicity and progress. We told John that aplazábamos in advertising until an automated Web site was completed. John agreed to give us 2 months to complete the website, however, pulled our credit IMDb few days later just before our automated site could be launched.
Still working to resolve this issue. We have an interesting theory about the true motives IMDb took away our credit, which will be included in our documentary. For the moment, we concentrate on completing our project, and plan to return to the issue down the street IMDb.
We still believe that our film is the standard for Prelisten IMDB, where it is "of great public interest" with many celebrities involved. Our film is currently making a list on Wikipedia, the merits of our list of Wikipedia have been discussed by the Wikipedia community, who have found that the project is of interest.
